Being born and raised in the city of Compton, giving back has always been embedded into my DNA. Being involved heavily in my church, volunteering for many organizations, and working in the community is what birthed my very own nonprofit Children Striving Together which later created The Power Legacy. When I first started my business, I only had the library books and expensive startup fee’s with no assistance or guidance. I wanted to ensure that this does not happen to the next person with a vision, dream, and solution to a reoccurring problem.
Starting your own nonprofit may not be a walk in the park however, it will be rewarding for your and the community you serve for generations to come. I ensure that we start with the infrastructure and work our way completely through the board members, budget, strategic planning, and more. The Profitable Nonprofit is a workshop that takes place once a month via zoom to discuss the 6 pillars of how to ensure your nonprofit is profitable as well as sustainable.

When starting a nonprofit, often times Founders and Directors do not have the funding to run the organization, hire employees, and sustain the budget for the year so we self-fund our organizations.

This workshop will give you the information you need to guide your steps properly and ensure you facilitate and bring in the right team with the proper leadership qualities to create a well-put-together organization, team, and strategy plan for the present and future of your organization.
